Maldon: Man Tries To Rob Shop At Gunpoint

Police have issued CCTV pictures of a man they are seeking who attempted to rob the Costcutters Store in Dryden Close, Maldon around 9.45pm last night (Thursday 28 March).

He entered the shop wearing a mask and was holding a small handgun.

The female member of staff screamed and pressed the panic alarm causing the man to leave left empty handed, running off towards the alleyway.

He is described as over 5ft 8 ins tall and of medium build. He was wearing a grey and white top and a black coat with a white logo and work-style trousers with reflective stripes at the bottom.
