Man Arrested After Fatal M11 Crash

A van driver has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving following a crash on the M11.
Three vehicles collided on the northbound carriageway between junctions eight and nine at around 1:40pm on Friday (March 20th).
A 47-year-old man from Kent, who was travelling in a black Ford Focus, died at the scene.
Three other people were injured and were taken to hospital. The two other vehicles involved were a white VW Transport van and a silver VW Golf.
The driver of the VW Transport van, a 40-year-old man from Sidcup, was taken to hospital and was then arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
He has been bailed pending further police enquiries until Wednesday, June 24.
The motorway was shut for more than five hours whilst the vehicles were recovered and forensic investigation work was carried out.
