Man Charged Over Braintree Murder

A mans now been charged with murder after the body of a woman was found in Braintree.

Police were called to Keeble Way just after 1pm on Easter Sunday where they found Tina Bennett with a serious neck injury.

The 47-year-old was pronounced dead a short while after.

29-year-old Howard Matthew Livings has since been charged with her murder.

He's due at Chelmsford Magistrates court today (April 28).

Detective Chief Inspector Simon Parkes, from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, explains: "We believe the incident may have happened in the early hours of Sunday morning but I would like to hear from anyone who may have been in the area from 8.30pm on the evening of Saturday April 23.

"No matter how small or insignificant that information may seem, please get in touch as it could be the vital piece of the jigsaw," he added.
