Man Charged With Norwich Woman's Murder

One man has been charged with murder following a woman's death in Norwich at the weekend.
Officers were called shortly before 2.30pm on Saturday 29 July 2017, following reports for the concern for the safety of a woman at a flat in Godric Place. Upon arrival, the body of a woman was discovered.
Enquiries led officers to an address in Windsor Road in Lowestoft, and three people, two men and a woman, were arrested later that afternoon in connection with the incident.
Detectives have charged 26-year old Danny Robert Williams of Godric Place, Norwich with murder. He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Norwich Magistrates Court today, Tuesday 1 August 2017.
A second man remains in custody and a woman was subsequently released under investigation whilst the enquiry continues.
Formal identification has taken place and police can confirm that the victim is named as 49-year old Farnaz Ali, of Godric Place, Norwich.
