Man Glassed In Loughton Brawl

A man in his 20s is in a serious condition in hospital after he was slashed across the neck with what is thought to be a glass after a fight in Loughton involving around 40 people.

Police were called to reports of a "disturbance" outside Nu Bar on High Road at around 2.20am yesterday (Sunday, 10 April).

Essex Police said: "Early witness accounts claim the victim was assaulted by two men, one believed to be wearing a polo style top and another who was using crutches.

"A BMW car may have also been involved in the incident.

"The victim was taken to a London hospital where he remains in a serious but not life threatening condition.

"A 31-year-old man from Birmingham was arrested at the scene in connection with the incident.
