A man has suffered life-threatening injuries after a crash involving a car and a truck near Brentwood.
Emergency services were called to the B186 Warley Street in Great Warley, near the junction wit the A127 Southend Arterial Road at around 6.50am yesterday (Wednesday, 24 February).
The collision involved a Renault Scenic and a MAN truck.
Essex Police said: "The Renault was travelling south towards Ockendon and the truck was travelling in the opposite direction.
"The car driver, a man aged 36 from the Southend area, was cut free from his vehicle by firefighters.
"He suffered multiple injuries, which were described as life threatening, and was taken by air ambulance to the Royal London Hospital.
"The road was closed just before 7.15am until about 1.40pm while emergency services were on scene and further scene investigations were carried out".
