A pedestrian is being treated for serious spinal injuries after a collision with a bus in Westcliff.
It happened just after 5pm yesterday (22 May) outside the railway station on Station Road.
Essex Police said: "The pedestrian, a 53-year-old man from the North London area, suffered serious spinal injuries and was taken to Southend Hospital for treatment.
"He was later moved to Queen's Hospital in Romford where he remains.
"The bus was a blue double decker.
"Anybody who saw the incident is asked to contact Pc Jason Mowbrey at the South Roads Policing Unit on Essex Police 101, extension 481128".
