Man Threatened With Knife During Colchester Robbery

Police are appealing for witnesses to a robbery in which a man was threatened with a knife.

The 29-year-old victim was next to his car, which was parked in a car park off Circular Road East, Colchester, at 10.15pm on Sunday, July 26, when three men in balaclavas approached him.

One held a knife to his throat.

They stole his wallet and items from the boot of his car, including a new Dyson DC55 vacuum cleaner and a rucksack containing hiking equipment.

The victim was also assaulted and he fell to the ground. He was punched and kicked before the suspects left in a dark people carrier-type vehicle.
