Man In Life Threatening Condition After Braintree Crash

A man is in a life-threatening condition in hospital after a crash near Braintree.

Two vehicles - a blue Peugeot 206 and a black Vauxhall Astra - collided on Long Green in Cressing at around 7.20pm yesterday (Wednesday, 10 February).

Essex Police said: "Officers and the ambulance service attended and the driver of the Peugeot was taken to hospital where he remains in a life threatening condition.

"The woman driver of the Vauxhall suffered bruising.

"A number of members of the public stopped to help following this incident but left before police arrived.

"They are asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 101".
