Pensioner Injured In Southend Crash Dies

An 80 year-old woman who was seriously injured in a car crash on Southend seafront has died in hospital.
The pensioner was taken to the Royal London Hospital after the car she was in hit a lamp post on Western Esplanade at around 3pm on Thursday, 11 February.
Essex Police says she died in hospital on Friday.
A man in his 80s, who was also injured in the collision, remains in hospital.
Police are continuing to investigate the collision and ask any witnesses who have not already spoken to an officer to contact us on 101.
