Detectives have made a second arrest in connection with a stabbing at Chelmsford.
A man in his 20s suffered chest and stomach injuries at Ravensbourne Drive shortly after 7pm on Tuesday June 16. He is now out of hospital after spending time on life support and is expected to make a full recovery.
An 18-year-old man from the Chelmsford area was arrested on Friday June 19 and he remains in custody today. He was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
A 16-year-old boy from Chelmsford, who was arrested in Brentwood on Thursday, has now been bailed until July 14 pending further enquiries. He was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit murder.
Detectives are still seeking to identify three black men who were present when the stabbing occurred. They left the scene with a white man and all four were seen to drive off in a small, dark grey three-door car.
