Essex Police investigating the theft of two elves from the Christmas marquee at Marsh Farm, South Woodham Ferrers have issued pictures of the stolen statues.
The elves were stolen sometime overnight on Friday, December 16 and considerable damage was caused.
County Councillor Jeremy Lucas Cabinet Member for Environment and Culture at Essex County Council said: "Santa's grotto at Marsh Farm remains fully open, despite the theft of some items including the elves which are an integral element of the grotto and are sorely missed by visitors. I ask anyone who has information about their whereabouts to get in touch with Essex Police."
Anyone with information is asked to call police at South Woodham Ferrers on 101.
