A 27 year-old man has been arrested at Stansted Airport on suspicion of terror offences.

The suspect, who was allegedly in possession of false identity documents, was stopped this morning as he was trying to leave the UK, the Met Police said.

He was rearrested by counter-terrorism officers on suspicion of preparation for acts of terrorism and is currently in custody at a police station in central London.

Officers carried out a search at a house in north west London in connection with the incident.
