Teen Due In Court Charged Over Ockendon Acid Attack

A 17 year-old boy is due in court today charged over a suspected acid attack at Ockendon railway station.

Five teenagers were sprayed in the face with an "unknown liquid" while waiting at the station at around 12.40am on Sunday, 22 May.

They were all treated for burns and two of them suffered what have been described as "potentially life-changing" injuries.

A 17 year-old boy from Dagenham was arrested and has been charged.

He is due at Basildon Youth Court today accused of three counts of occasioning grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent, and two counts of attempted GBH with intent.
