Police investigating the murder of a teenager in Southend have charged a third person.
A 19 year-old man from London was stabbed in the chest on Napier Avenue at around 2.15pm on Saturday, 13 February.
He was taken to hospital but died four days later.
Essex Police said: "Elisha Francois, 25, unemployed, of York Road, Southend, was arrested yesterday morning, Tuesday March 1, and charged today with perverting the course of justice.
"She is due to appear at Southend Magistrates’ Court today.
"Two men have already been charged in connection with this investigation and are currently before the courts.
"Detectives do however continue to appeal for anyone with information about the murder to contact them on 101 or on email at firstname.lastname@example.org
