Three men were subsequently arrested.

Now 22 year-old Charlie Simms, from North Road in Great Yeldham, 23 year-old Kalebh Shreeve, from Gibson Road in Halstead, and 27 year-old Christopher Bergin, from Hawkwood Road in Halstead, have all been charged with aggravated burglary, GBH with intent, and possession of a firearm.
