Two people have died and another has been injured after a three car crash in Howe Green.
A Volkswagen Tiguan, a Seat Leon and a Volkswagen Scirocco collided on Southend Road at around 6pm yesterday (Tuesday, 8 March).
Essex Police said: "The Tiguan driver, a man aged in his 60s from Colchester, and the Seat driver, a man aged in his 20s from Maldon, sadly died at the scene.
"An 18-year-old woman from Maldon, who was a passenger in the Seat, was airlifted to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge with injuries to her chest and pelvis.
"The Scirocco driver was not injured.
"The road was closed in both directions near the Downhouse Farm bridge until 12.20am today, Wednesday March 9".
