A woman in her 20s has been sexually assaulted by a man who walked her home from a night out in Basildon.
She left Colours nightclub sometime between 3am and 4am yesterday (Saturday, May 9) with a man she didn't know. He took her to her house and the victim went inside but came back out again and walked along Whitmore Way.
The man then followed her, sexually assaulted her and exposed himself. The woman managed to pull away and he walked off.
The man is described as black, about 26-years-old and was of a medium build.
Pc Al Causaker of Basildon Local Policing Team said: "This was very frightening for the victim. She shouted at the man and she was upset and crying. I would like to speak to anyone who saw them together and may have noticed them before or after the incident. I would urge anyone with any information to get in touch with me.”
Anyone that can help is asked to contact Essex Police on 101.
