As Queen Elizabeth celebrates her Diamond Jubilee, we take a look back at her many visits to Essex during her 60-year reign.

In October 1991, the Queen opened the aptly-named 'Queen Elizabeth II Bridge' linking Essex and Kent.

In November 2004, the Queen made her second visit to Harwich. Here she's meeting school children during a walkabout at the sea-side town. The visit was part of a Royal tour of Essex.
