Heart's Feel Good Weekend with Sian Welby 9am - 12pm
Heart gets a look behind the scenes of the new Holiday Inn hotel at Southend Airport, opening to the public in October.
Managing Director Steve Brazil says the aim is "to provide a great hotel that guests love, one that offers outstanding customer service."
The hotel has the scent of green tea pumped into the lobby area to welcome guests!
It is just a few minutes’ walk from the London Southend Airport terminal and railway station.
New destinations from London Southend are being added through carriers such as EasyJet and Aer Arran Regional.
The £10 million hotel has 129 bedrooms.
A sweeping staircase on the fourth floor leads to the only rooftop restaurant in Essex.
"1935 Rooftop Restaurant & Bar" is a reference to the year that airport opened as a municipal airport for the public.
Head Chef Kieran Moore brings 30-years of both Michelin and international experience to Southend.
Kieran describes the 1935 Rooftop Restaurant & Bar as "Classic British with a contemporary twist and using as many local ingredients as possible."
