6 Arrested In Drug Raids Across Devon

Phase 3 of Operation Cranefly went into action this morning in Devon.

It's targeting heroin suppliers with links to gangs in Liverpool.

More than 100 police officers raided properties in Exeter, Teignmouth, Exmouth and Ottery St Mary.

6 people were arrested and are being questioned about suspicion of money laundering, possession of Class A drugs with the intent to supply, running a Cannabis factory and there have also been 2 cannabis warnings handed out.

PCSO's are carrying out reassurance patrols in the areas where the raids were carried out.

One property had a home made CCTV unit installed in a fence panel, however the occupants were caught sleeping on the sofa when officers entered the property.

Sniffer dogs were then brought in to search the properties - one called 'Stash' you can see in the gallery below.

In the first phase of the operation 13 people were arrested, 7 were charged with various drugs offences, with £250,000 of assists seized and it was linked to real estate in the USA.

The second phase was all about money laundering linked with local groups and organised crime in Liverpool.
