Devon Dentist Fights Deportation

A Devon dentist is battling to stop being thrown out of England.

Matthew Wong works at a Sidmouth practice where 70 percent of his patients are from the NHS.

He moved to England from Hong Kong eight years ago and has never had any problems with the visa system.

But recently the coalition government changed the visa rules which meant you had to be employed to continue working in this country.

The shock for Matthew is that dentists aren't employed - they work as associates, which is effectively being self-employed.  And for the visa rules that doesn't count.
