Ewers Get Chiefs Chance in Cup

Teenager Dave Ewers becomes the latest youngster to get a starting chance at Exeter Chiefs this weekend, as he's named in the starting line-up for Sunday's cup match at Cornish Pirates.

The 19 year old Academy player & Ivybridge College student's been linking up with Exmouth recently for some senior experience, and comes in for his first start at number 8 in the West Country derby.

Head Coach Rob Baxter's made several changes giving some squad players some valuable game time as competition to be involved in the post-season play-offs heats up. James Scaysbrook also skippers the team at Flanker, with Ben Moon, Sam Blythe, Ruaidhri Murphy, Sean Tomes and Chris Bentley also coming into the pack.

Richard Bolt gets a start at scrum-half against the club where he spent a season. Danny Gray, Paul McKenzie and Emyr Lewis also come into the back line.
