Police have started an investigation into allegations of sexual offences against a girl at a former boarding school.
Detectives are looking for people who worked or studied at Ashleigh Court boarding school in Chawleigh between 1970 and 1980.
The school is now closed.
Detective Constable Rob Poole, from Devon and Cornwall Police, said: “We are in the initial stages of a complex investigation relating to offences which occurred at Ashleigh Court Boarding School in Chulmleigh between approximately 1970 and 1980.
“We appreciate that this was quite some time ago and we are doing all we can to help the victim.
“We are wanting to speak to anyone who worked or studied at this school during this time period in the hope that they would be able to assist us with our investigation."
