A man has been left with potentially life-changing injuries following a collision in Dawlish.
His silver Mini Cooper S left the road at Luscombe Hill and collided with a large tree on Monday morning.
The driver, a 34-year-old man from Teignmouth, had to be cut out of the wreckage by firefighters.
He sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.
Exeter Roads Policing Team are investigating and appealing for witnesses to the collision to contact them.
Officers are also keen to hear from anyone who saw the Mini travelling west towards the B3192 prior to the incident.
