Police in the Midlands say they've made a further arrest over the investigation into the attack on Watford FC fan Nick Cruwys in Wolverhampton last Saturday (7th March).
West Midlands Police say they've arrested a third teenager on suspicion of involvement in the assault which left the 44 year-old with life-threatening head injuries.
The 18 year-old man was detained at an address in the Fallings Park area of Wolverhampton.
Mr Cruwys, a dad ofvtwo from Hemel Hempstead remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital after being attacked in Littles Lane, Wolverhampton, last Saturday.
Appealing for further information to assist the investigation, Detective Chief Inspector Chris Hanson, of West Midlands Police, said:
"Our investigation continues and three people have been arrested. ''I would like to take this opportunity to thank people for providing information and I am now appealing to anyone else involved in this incident to come forward.
My team of detectives are determined to trace everyone that was involved, they will identify you, they will get you, and they will knock on your door.
Do the right thing, think of this family man with young children and come forward.''
Two other male suspects, aged 13 and 18, were arrested as part of the police inquiry earlier this the week and have been bailed pending further enquiries.
