Beds Cop Charged With Teen Sex Offences

A former Bedfordshire police officer has been charged with a string of sex offences against teenage girls.

Mohammad Arshad, 35, worked as a police officer with Bedfordshire Police between April and November last year.

He was charged with 10 counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, four of grooming, two of sexual touching and offering to supply cannabis, police said.

Arshad, of Luton, appeared at Hatfield Magistrates' Court charged with 17 offences on Friday (8th May).

The 11 victims were aged between 13 and 15 at the time and the offences allegedly happened in Bedfordshire.

He was suspended after the allegations came to light in October last year.
