A man has been assaulted in Northampton by someone he saw shouting in the street.
A 53-year-old man, who was walking down Abington Street at around 1am, noticed another man who was walking towards him, shouting, from Wellingborough Road. The offender hit the victim after a short conversation, causing two cuts to his head.
The offender is described as white, between 20 and 30, 5ft 6in, of light build, with short dark brown hair and tanned skin.
Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with any information to call Northamptonshire Police on 101.
