Man Carjacked In Hemel Hempstead

A man has been forced out his car and had it stolen in Hemel Hempstead.

The incident happened in Thumpers at around 10pm on Monday, July 20.
A 23-year-old man had arranged to meet a friend in the area. On arrival, the victim was approached by another man who got into the victim’s car and forced him out.
An altercation then occurred between the two men outside the car, before a third man arrived.
The victim was overpowered and the two men made off in the victim’s car – a silver Mercedes.
The first suspect is described as a white man, aged 30 to 35 years old, around 5ft 9in tall, of stocky build, with short hazel coloured hair. He was wearing a red short-sleeved shirt.
The second is described as a white man, aged 30 to 35 years old, around 5ft 9in tall, of average build, with short blond hair. He was wearing a white sleeveless vest.
PC Francis Mungai, from the Hemel Hempstead Local Crime Unit, said: “Thankfully the victim was not seriously injured but has understandably been left shaken by the incident.
“A number of people are believed to have spoken to the victim after the incident and offered to help him and I am appealing for these people to contact me. I would also like to hear from any else who may have witnessed what happened or has any other information which could assist the investigation.”
