Man Stabbed In Northampton Town Centre

A 21 year-old Northampton man has been stabbed in the stomach in the town centre.

The man was approached by the offender outside Milleniums Pizza in Gold Street, and stabbed in the stomach at about 5am on Bank Holiday Monday.

The offender made off and the victim gave chase along Gold Street, onto Kingswell Street, around the back of Dominos pizza and to the St Peter's Way roundabout where he stopped and called for help. The offender was seen running towards Far Cotton.

The offender was a black or mixed race man, in his early 20s, of muscular build, with dark hair and about 5ft 10ins to 6ft tall. He was wearing a grey tracksuit or blue hooded top.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment after the incident and is in a stable condition.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or have any information regarding it.
