A man has been taken to hospital with serious head injuries after he was assaulted in Hatfield.
The 24 year old remains in a stable condition after it happened at around 8pm on Monday (27th April) in the communal area of a block of flats in Mosquito Way
Police want to speak to two white men and one black man who were seen running from the scene. One of them had a blue suitcase with them.
Detective Constable Gemma Kenealy is investigating and said: "I am particularly keen to locate a possible witness who was outside the flats at the time the offenders ran off. This man is described as being white, around 5ft 11ins tall who was wearing a black barber jacket with the collar up and a beanie hat. He was looking at his mobile at the time.
"If this was you, you may be able to assist my inquiries so please do make contact with police.
"I would also be keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened, saw the offenders arriving or leaving the scene or anyone who has any information which could assist the investigation."
Anyone who can help should call DC Gemma Kenealy on 01707 806826 or via the Herts Police non-emergency number 101 quoting crime reference B2/15/1509. Alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
