MK Man Suffers Serious Injuries In AM Attack

A 37 year-old man's suffered serious injuries in an attack by a group of men early today in Milton Keynes.
He was walking in the area of Gurnards Avenue and Pencarrow Place on the Fishermead estate between 1am and 150am when a man asked him for a cigarette before he was attacked.
The victim sustained head and hand injuries. He went to a nearby house and an ambulance was called that took him to Milton Keynes General Hospital.
He has since been transferred to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford where he remains with serious injuries and in a stable condition.
The attacker who approached him was 5ft 8ins to 5ft 10ins, and is believed to be Somalian.
Investigating officer, Det Sgt Luke Grove from Milton Keynes Force CID, said: "If anyone was in the area of the offence in the early hours of today and saw anything suspicious, please call police and speak to an officer as you may have information which could assist the investigation."
