Name Challenge For New Northants Councils

There's now an informal consultation on the name for one of the two proposed new all-in-one councils in Northamptonshire.
Due to the financial failings of Northamptonshire County Council; the Government's signalled it's to be abolished in 2020 and everyone is currently working on the premise they'll be two unitary authorities - one for Northampton along with west and south Northants and the other for the remainder of the county.
Snow now, and until the 3rd of December the western/southern councils are consulting residents on ideas for the new area's name.
Here's some ideas:
:: "West Northamptonshire" (or similar).
The current thought by some is that it's an obvious choice but loses the identity of Northampton (which must be recognised as by far the largest place, in the new area).
Then there's
:: The "Borough and District of Northampton" or "Town and District of Northampton" (or similar). Modelled on the "City and District of St Albans" name.
Or
:: Any completely different name – eg Grand Union Council.
An example of a less specific geographical name, pulling out instead a key feature of the area – much like Three Rivers District Council in the Rickmansworth area.
The downside its believed is that doesn’t help people from further away understand where the new council is (as the Grand Union Canal runs through so many different areas).
A pro is that it could demonstrate a fresh start, by being so different to the names of any of the current councils.
So.. .over to you!
