Northants Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist died in a crash on the A45 near Daventry.

It happened yesterday (Sunday 16th Nov) when just after 1pm, a blue Suzuki GSXR1000, ridden by a 31 -year-old man from Northampton, was travelling along the A45 towards Dodford in convoy with another motorcyclist, who was riding a green Kawasaki ZX1000.

It's not yet known why, but near to Newnham Grange Farm, the Suzuki left the road - fatally injuring the rider; we're told the other motorcyclist on the Kawasaki - was not involved in the crash.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who saw either of the motorcyclists prior to the collision.

Witnesses to the collision or anyone with information is asked to call the Drivewatch Hotline on 0800 174615 or Northamptonshire Police on 101.
