Ahead of Remembrance Sunday, a woman from Northampton, a recently retired teacher, has created her own River of Poppies installation in the town.
Inspired by the magnificent River of Poppies installation at the Tower of London in 2014, Celia Irwin's 2000 poppies at Abington Church is also spectacular.
The installation of clay poppies also features 700 smaller flowers to create "Lest we forget"
Celia has spent more than £1000 of her own money to pay for her creation and even pays Northampton Borough Council for them to be lit at night.
After Remembrance Sunday, they'll be a chance to buy your own poppy with a percentage going to the Poppy Appeal, to the Church and to pay for the materials.
Each of the large poppies will be sold at £10 and can be purchased via the church or via the www.art-ified.co.uk
