Bedfordshire Police is appealing for witnesses as part of an investigation into a suspected arson in Richmond Road, Leighton Buzzard, on Sunday.

Police were called to reports that a car and caravan on a driveway had been set alight at around 7pm. The fire spread to a fence and subsequently to a shed, causing damage to the adjacent house. It then also spread further to a skip in the neighbouring property.
Detective Constable Richard Marshall, investigating, said: “We are continuing to look into this incident, but are treating it as deliberate at this time.  The car and the caravan have been destroyed and we’re keen to find out why this happened, and who is responsible. I’d urge anyone who has information to come forward, as they may be able to help our investigation.”
