A number of trophies which had been stolen during a burglary at the Red Bull Racing factory at Milton Keynes, have been recovered.
Police were called to the factory in Bradbourne Drive, Tilbrook, Milton Keynes at around 1.30am on 6 December after a group of six men used a vehicle to drive through the front entrance of the factory. They then stole more than 60 trophies belonging to the Red Bull Racing team.
Thames Valley Police say around 20 of the trophies were recovered from the Horseshoe Lake near Sandhurst, after being spotted by a member of the public.
Members of the Specialist Search and Rescue Team searched part of the lake yesterday and located a number of trophies.
Investigating officer Det Con Chris Oakman said:
"Some of the trophies were recovered from Horseshoe Lake near Sandhurst yesterday (15the Dec). We estimate about twenty trophies have been recovered, but we are liaising with Red Bull to establish the exact number, as some of the trophies are damaged.
We would continue to ask that anyone with any information about the burglary contacts us on 101.
Further, if anyone sees a trophy or trophy parts near the area of Horseshoe Lake please contact the Force."
Anyone with information is asked to contact Det Con Oakman via the Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 101.
