Police investigating an assault in St Albans have released an image of a woman they would like to speak to for help with their enquiries.

The incident occurred at Club Veeda in Adelaide Street at around 1am on October 26th.

A 32 year-old woman was in the club with friends when she was approached by another woman who then bit and scratched her on the arm.

Investigating officer Shaun Woods said:

"This was an unusual and apparently unprovoked incident which left the victim with slight injuries. I would like to speak to the woman pictured as she may have information which could assist with our investigation.

I would also like to hear from anyone who was in the club at the time and saw what happened."

Anyone who recognises the woman, or who has any other information about the incident is asked to contact PC Woods via the Hertfordshire Constabulary non-emergency number 101, citing crime reference F1/14/3613.

Alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
