Stabbing During Bedford Robbery

A man has been stabbed during a robbery in Bedford.

The man was walking along an alleyway between Hockliffe Road and Fenlake Road when he was approached by a person who stabbed him numerous times and robbed him.

Detective Sergeant Craig Laws, who is investigating the incident, said: “Fortunately the stab wounds were superficial and the victim is likely to make a full recovery. However, this could have been a lot more serious so it’s vital that we catch the person responsible.

“I’d urge anyone who witnessed the incident, or who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time, to contact us immediately.”

The victim was taken to Bedford Hospital after being found near Fenlake Road.
