Teen Charged After Luton Assault On Elderly Man

A 15 year old boy has been charged after an elderly man was attacked and suffered serious injuries in Luton.

The victim had been walking his dog in the park, near the lake, when he was assaulted. He was taken to hospital in a serious condition. He has since left hospital but is still suffering from the effects of the attack and recovering slowly.

The boy was charged with causing grievous bodily harm without intent on Friday (20 February) and has been bailed to appear at Luton Youth Court on 10 March.

Detective Sergeant Tom Hamm said: "We are still seeking anyone who saw this incident.

"If you were in Wardown Park between 1pm and 4pm on Saturday 6 December and saw what happened, please contact us."
