A teenager's been raped after a night out in Northampton.
The incident happened in the early hours of Saturday 4 April, between 4am and 5.45am.
The victim, who was in her late teens, was making her way home after splitting up from her friends. It is believed she met the suspect, who was with another man and a woman, at the top of Abington Street, near the junction with York Road and The Mounts.
The two men and the woman then walked with the victim to Wellingborough Road, near Sainsbury’s Local, when the second man and the woman left.
The woman is then believed to have gone with the suspect to his house where the alleged offence happened.
Investigators are particularly keen to speak to the man and woman who were with the suspect and walked with him and the victim to Wellingborough Road. They would also like to talk to another man who may have seen the victim shortly after the assault.
DC Tom Jenkins said:
"The suspect is believed to have been with two other people, a black man and a white woman. They are potential witnesses and we would urge them to get in touch.
We would also like to speak to a white man who we believe may have seen the victim a short time later, following the assault, somewhere in the area around Wellingborough Road and Kettering Road, near the town centre and The Mounts.
This is a serious incident and anyone who was in the area in the early hours of Saturday morning, who may have seen the victim or suspect or anything suspicious, is urged to contact Northampton CID as soon as possible."
The suspect is described as black, about 6ft, with a skinny a build. He had short, shaven black hair and a goatee beard, and was wearing a white tracksuit top.
Witnesses, or anyone with information, are asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101, quoting incident 111 of 4 April.
