Teen Seriously Assaulted In Houghton Regis

A teenager has been seriously assaulted in Houghton Regis.

At around 12.30am on Saturday (April 11), a 16-year-old boy and three friends were approached in Sundon Road, Houghton Regis, by a man asking for a cigarette.

When the victim said no, the offender hit him and made off in an unknown direction. He is described as white and of average height, in his late teens and wearing a ripped T-shirt.

Detective Constable Rebecca Kitts, from the Serious Crime Investigation team, said: "A teenager has been left with a serious injury as a result of this totally unprovoked attack, which took place in a residential area.

"Assaults like this will not be tolerated and I am appealing to anyone who saw a man matching this description in the Sundon Road area at this time to get in touch."
