A teenage boy has been stabbed in the leg by the Luton and Dunstable busway.
The 15-year-old boy was at the Luton Road entrance to the bus way in Dunstable at approximately 7.10pm when the incident happened.
He was approached by a group of men who verbally abused him before punching him in the head and stabbing him in the leg.
DC Ann Ward said: "This was an unprovoked attack by a group of young men on an innocent victim. The teenager was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries and it is lucky that he was not more seriously hurt.
"One person has been arrested but we are still seeking other people in connection with the incident and we would urge anyone with information to contact us immediately."
Two of the men that police would like to speak to in connection with the incident are both described at approximately 17 years old and white. One is described as being approximately 5'11", slim with a deep voice, and was wearing a black hooded top with a Nike hat and dark blue jeans. The second is described as approximately 5'9", of average build, and was wearing a dark hooded top and tracksuit bottoms.
A 16-year-old man was arrested on Saturday (21 March) on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. He has been bailed with strict conditions until 30 April.
