Tesco Cashier Robbed By Aggressive Man

A man's simply walked out of a busy Tesco in Northampton after robbing one of the store's cashiers.

Police say they're investigating the robbery which took place at the Mereway branch, on Tuesday, 16 June.

A man approached a checkout assistant and asked her to change a £20 note. The man was aggressive to the assistant who changed the note.

The offender continued to be aggressive to the woman, telling her to continue handing over even more cash, which she did.

The man then made off from the shop with the cash.

He was a white man, of average height, athletic build and had dark brown hair, a tanned complexion and was in his mid to late 20s. He wore dark coloured slim fitted trousers and a light purple shirt with the sleeves rolled up.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may recognise the description of the man, pictured, or who may have any information regarding this incident.
