Co-Op staff in a quiet Buckinghamshire village have had to deal with a violent criminals for the second time in a month.
At around 11pm a member of staff opened the back door of the shop in Winslow High Street and saw three people dressed in dark coloured clothing, with their faces covered. One of the people was carrying a crowbar.
The member of staff slammed the door shut on them whereupon they attempted to force open the back door with the crowbar, but they were unsuccessful. They left the scene and no property was taken.
Investigating officer Det Con Lindsay Russell, from Aylesbury CID, said: “It was very fortunate that nobody was injured in this incident. We would urge anyone who saw anything suspicious near High Street in Winslow last night to speak to police.”
Anyone with any information is asked to call 101 and ask for Det Con Russell.
