Woman Arrested After Wellingborough Kids Assaulted

A 36 year-old's been arrested after a number of people reported seeing a woman assaulting a group of school-children in Wellingborough.

Numerous calls were received by police of a woman allegedly assaulting school children aged 11 and 12.

None of the children required medical attention.

Northamptonshire Police say a 36 year-old woman, has been arrested on suspicion of assault following an incident yesterday (Tuesday, November 20) at around 3.20pm, on Brickhill Road, Wellingborough.

The woman remains in police custody.
