Woman Assaulted At Luton Bus Stop

A woman waiting for a bus in Luton has had a man abusing her and trying to grab her.

The incident took place on Tuesday, 19 May at around 2.40pm at a bus stop in Manchester Street, Luton.

The victim was approached by a man who began making abusive and sexual remarks towards her, before attempting to grab her.

PC Jaime O'Leary, investigating, said: "I am keen to hear from two members of the public who assisted in getting the offender away from the scene, or anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed this awful incident.

"This was highly distressing for the victim, who ran into the nearby library for safety.

"I commend her bravery in coming forward to report the incident and would assure her and the wider public that we take offences of this nature extremely seriously."
