Police say the woman involved in last Monday's crash on the A45 has died.

A 61 year-old driver passed away today following what happened last Monday morning at around 7.50am (Dec 4th).

Emergency services were called to the eastbound carriageway of the A45 at the Barnes Meadow flyover.

Police say they still don't know yet why the woman’s car crossed the carriageway a number of times, hitting the safety barriers and a street lamp before coming to a rest on the grass verge.

Emergency services attended the scene and the woman was airlifted to University Hospital Coventry for treatment where she sadly died earlier today (Tuesday, December 12).

Officers investigating the collision would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed it or who may have any information about what happened.
