Woman Grabbed & Sexually Assaulted In Shefford

A woman has been grabbed and sexually assaulted by a man in Shefford.

It happened as she walked along Hitchin Road between 10.30pm and 11pm on Saturday (25 April).

Her attacker is believed to be white, in his late-30s, with a beard and was wearing a hooded top.  

Bedfordshire Police are now warning women to be on their guard.

Detective Constable Amanda Durrant said: "We urge anyone who saw this incident or has any information that could help us with our investigation to come forward.

"We would remind people to be vigilant when out walking after dark and keep to well-lit or well-populated areas."
