Woman Stabbed In Luton

A 25 year-old woman has been stabbed in the leg after two men tried to rob her in Luton.

The pair approached her in an alleyway between Ashburnham Road and Downs Road at around 9.30pm on Monday (11 May).

They pushed her to the ground and demanded she hand over her belongings.

They made off and the woman realised she had been stabbed in the leg.

The offenders are described as black and were wearing dark clothing.

Detective Constable Tracey Litchfield said: "This was a nasty attack and we’re keen to trace those responsible as soon as possible.

"I would urge anyone who knows who is responsible to call police."
